Giovanni Peri

Giovanni Peri is the C. Bryan Cameron Distinguished Professor of Economics at UC Davis and Founder and Director of the Global Migration Center. He is Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His research focuses on the economic determinants and consequences of international migrations and immigration policies. He has published around 100 articles in refereed academic Journals. He has advised more than 60 PHD students, who are academics, researchers and Policy Makers in institutions all over the world. His work has received more than 30,000 citations and he has an h-factor of 74. He has received research grants from the Mac Arthur Foundation, the Russel Sage Foundation, the World Bank and the National Science Foundation. His research is often featured in media outlets such as the Economist, the New York Times, The New Yorker, the Wall Street Journal and NPR news.
